A typical bond PTS is the Japan Bond Trading Co., Ltd., which acts as a securities exchange for dealers on the secondary bond market. Price information and other data provided are released in real-time through dedicated terminals.

To trade via PTS, an investor needs to install the proprietary broker-developed system or program on his personal computer. The system provides investors with news, research reports, and real-time market data that helps retail investors make informed investment and quick trade decisions. Investors are advised to check with their securities companies if PTS services are available.
