The most immediate and visible fallout from the global credit market turmoil has been an increase in volatility in emerging East Asian bond markets, says the latest issue of Asia Bond Monitor. The report, which has a theme chapter on bond market developments and challenges in India, was launched in Mumbai at a bond conference organized by ADB in association with Reuters and rating agency ICRA. Jong-Wha Lee, Head of OREI, unveiled the report at a gathering of top regional investment bankers, credit analysts, rating agency and regulatory officials.
In addition to the theme chapter, the latest edition of the Asian Bond Monitor includes the results of a recent survey of market participants on liquidity conditions in the region's local currency bond and derivatives markets. To participate in the online survey for your market, click here.
