The bond market of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) comprises government or quasi-government instruments, and a growing number of private corporate issues. This section provides an overview of the types of bonds available for investment in the PRC, and discusses other investment instruments and techniques (e.g., repurchase agreements, bond/interest rate derivatives, and short selling).
