The Securities Association of China was established in 1991; with members including security companies, investment fund management companies, consulting firms, and designated special members. All resident securities companies are required to join.

The National Debt Association of China was also established in 1991. Its members include commercial banks, security companies, insurance companies, fund management companies, and individuals.

Both are nonprofit and self-regulating organizations.
