The MAS also publishes an annual survey of the corporate debt market provided at the link below. The survey includes data on outstanding corporate debt, issuer profiles, and debt maturity structure.
Asset securitization in Singapore took off in 2006 as asset-backed securities transactions grew remarkably, to SGD19 billion (from SGD13 billion in 2005). Notably, there was an influx of more structured products in the market such as convertibles and synthetic collateralized debt obligations.
Since the first listing in 2002, the republic’s REIT market has grown to become the biggest in Asia outside Japan, with a capitalization of over SGD26 billion (USD17.22 billion).
