Overview

Global rating agencies usually rate USD issues. Most Asian markets have domestic credit rating agencies to rate local issues, including Shari'a compliant securities.

A compilation of the basic profiles of selected domestic credit rating agencies in ASEAN+3 is provided below. For more detailed information on local rating agencies, please refer to market home pages.

The Association of Credit Rating Agencies in Asia (ACRAA) was created to help exchange skills and ideas across rating agencies and to promote best practices and standards of conduct within the region. The table below shows the credit ratings agencies within ASEAN+3 markets that are also members of ACRAA.
