Retail Investors

The Bureau of the Treasury issues Retail Treasury Bonds (RTBs) in varying amounts at a minimum denomination of PhP5,000. Individual investors interested in purchasing RTBs can apply with any Government Securities Dealer (GSED). Some GSEDs may require a higher minimum investment. Information on opening a transaction account is available from any GSED.

The Money Market Association of the Philippines (MART) link below provides a list of basic requirements in opening an individual transaction account as well as an explanation on the basics of investing, and investor rights and obligations.

A step by step guide in retail investments to Philippine government bonds may be found at this section Philippines: How To Buy Bonds.
