Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) allows non-financial institutions to enter into repurchase or reverse repurchase (repo) transactions, provided that the other party is a licensed financial institution. The repo guidelines provided by BNM are applicable for all market transactions covering both Real-time Electronic Transfer of Funds and Securities (RENTAS) and scrip securities.
