On 29 June 2001, the Government of Malaysia issued a 10-year USD 1.75 million bond with 7.5% coupon rate. Rated Baa1 by 'Moody's, the debt will mature on 15 July 2011.
There are also some USD-denominated debt issues: Petronas, 7% 2012; Petronas, 7.875%, 2022, and; Tenaga, 7.625%, 2011, are among the issues active in the market.
